Are you faster than a Ridge runner? Come out and join the running community of the Basking Ridge area in racing with some of the top high school runners in Somerset County.

The 5K race/1 mile walk will take place at 2 p.m. March 28  at Mountain Park, Martinsville and  Mountain Roads in Basking Ridge. The USATF certified 5K course is a flat looped trail through the park. Water stations and professional race timing will be provided, with splits given at the 1- and 2-mile marks. The 5K is sanctioned as a Grand Prix event in the USATF-NJ Road Race series and is worth 500 points.

The event is to benefit the Ridge High School Cross Country and Track & Field teams and is sponsored by the Ridge Runners Booster Club to raise funds for needed equipment. Ridge Runners is a 501C3 non-profit organization. Anyone interested in being a sponsor for the event and having your company logo or name printed on the event T-shirt, please send an email to njridgerunners@gmail.com.

Race registration fee is $20 and must be received by March 18  to receive a long sleeve T-shirt and entry into the door- prize giveaway. A $2 discount is available for USATF-NJ members. Awards will be given by age group.  Late and race-day registration fee is $25. Email your questions to njridgerunners@gmail.com.
