Volunteer fair: Find out how you can help

A volunteer fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21 at the Church of St. John on the Mountain in Bernardsville. Admission is free, and food and beverages will be served.
Meet representatives from five local nonprofit organizations who are working hard with less and would welcome the gift of your time and talents.
Project Acorn — A Morristown-based organization that gives every area child a chance to attend a quality preschool program regardless of limited family finances.
The Food Bank Network of Somerset County — Provides food and other basic needs to those less fortunate in our community, working from food pantries in Somerville, Bound Brook, North Plainfield and a warehouse in Bridgewater.
Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity — Improves the lives of low-income families throughout Somerset and Hunterdon counties by helping them build and buy their own simple, decent homes.
SHELLS — This English language program is run from the Bernardsville Public Library and includes English as a Second Language classes and "Early Literacy on the Go" kits for at-home use.
HomeSharing Program Based in Bridgewater — This home sharing agency prevents homelessness in Somerset and Hunterdon counties by seeking shared affordable housing opportunities.
